Biography

Born in 1988, Maroun G. Bassil is a professional photographer and instructor specializing in studio lighting and food photography. A graduate of the Fine Art Photography Academy (FAPA) as a Professional and Fine Art Photographer, Maroun quickly rose to become the academy’s main photographer and an instructor in food photography, lighting, and studio techniques.

At FAPA, he has guided students through everything from the fundamentals of photography to advanced food and beverage lighting. His teaching blends precision with creativity, ensuring students gain both technical fluency and the confidence to express their own visual voice.

Beyond the academy, Maroun has built a diverse career as a professional photographer, collaborating with leading restaurants, hospitality venues, and NGOs across Lebanon and abroad. His portfolio includes work with Shinto, Salted Bistro, Meats and Bread, Lettuce Meat, Terra, Food District, Barn, Kun, Paname, The Arena, Caprice, Mc Queen, Leyla, Stem, Capitole, and major campaigns with Nexty (Chivas, Jägermeister, Absolut), as well as NGOs such as USAID and War Child Holland.

He is also the co-founder of SEEN by FAPA, a creative agency acclaimed for producing high-level advertising visuals. Through this role, Maroun has contributed to campaigns that merge artistry with commercial appeal, further establishing his reputation in both the creative and professional industries.
