Biography

Born in 1982, Bachir Tannous is a highly experienced and versatile Sound Engineer with more than two decades of expertise in film, television, and documentary production. He holds dual Master’s degrees in Information & Communication and in Digital Humanities & Intelligence, combining advanced academic knowledge with extensive professional practice.

Bachir’s prolific career covers a wide spectrum of audio production for international documentaries, feature films, television dramas, and commercial advertisements. His collaborations include major networks and production houses such as Al Jazeera, Dubai TV, Sky News, Holland’s NOS TV, and Swiss TV, where he has demonstrated excellence in both field recording and studio environments.

He has contributed as a sound engineer to numerous acclaimed projects, including the feature film Zafafiyan, drama series such as Nokta Entaha (2024), Kalb Aswad (2024), and the 2025 Ramadan series Bil Dam for Eagle Films, as well as documentaries like Sofra and The Economics of Lebanon presented by David McWilliams. His body of work also includes cultural and social productions such as Masirati – Georges WassoufWhat Is Buried Must Remain, and Port of Beirut.

Since 2005, Bachir has combined professional practice with a passion for education. He has taught sound techniques, camera operation, and post-production at Al Kafaat University (AKU) and Antonine University, training new generations of audiovisual professionals. At the Fine Art Photography Academy (FAPA), he serves as the Sound for Video & Film Instructor, guiding students to understand the artistic and technical role of sound in shaping cinematic storytelling.
