Biography

Born in 1982, Rachid Maroun is a seasoned editor and director with over 15 years of professional experience in video editing and montage. Since 2005, he has been a lead editor at Télé Liban, where he has worked on a wide range of productions including live programs, documentaries, cultural shows, and news reports, while also contributing to prestigious events such as the Murex d’Or and the Beirut International Awards Festival (BIAF).

Alongside his professional career, Rachid has established himself as a dedicated educator. He has taught video editing and montage at Al-Kafaat University (AKU), Antonine University (AU), and FAPA, where he has trained generations of students in continuity, rhythm, balance, and visual storytelling. Known for his ability to simplify complex concepts, he helps students master both the technical and creative aspects of editing.

Rachid is proficient in Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop, combining technical precision with creative insight. His freelance portfolio spans the Middle East, including music videos, documentaries, television series, trailers, and live productions, as well as collaborations with high-profile presenters and media figures.
